North West Territories & Nunavut employers are required to provide first aid kits in the workplace that meet CSA Z1220-17 standards as defined in the North West Territories & Nunavut Occupational Health and Safety first aid regulations. The type and number of first aid kits required in the workplace is based on the number of employees in a given shift and the level of risk of injury.
Lone/Isolated Worker

1 worker or worker in isolation requires a Type 1 Personal First Aid Kit.
For Low Risk Workplace Environment with

2-25 workers per shift requires a Type 2 Basic First Aid Kit - Small (2-25 Workers).

26-50 workers per shift requires a Type 2 Basic First Aid Kit - Medium (26-50 Workers).

51-100 workers per shift requires a Type 2 Basic First Aid Kit - Large (51-100 Workers).
For High Risk Workplace Environment with

2-25 workers per shift requires a Type 3 Intermediate First Aid Kit - Small (2-25 Workers).

26-50 workers per shift requires a Type 3 Intermediate First Aid Kit - Medium (26-50 Workers).
